Corruption in India

Corruption is a form of dishonest behavior in which an individual has the power or authority to take benefit out of it. It can be seen in the form of taking bribes, privileges, inappropriate gifts, double-dealing, under-the-table transactions, manipulating elections, diverting funds, laundering money, and defrauding investors. It can be said that corruption is a disease and India is not the only country that has crossed its alarming stage, but almost in all the countries in the globe, corruption exists.

Which came first--the egg or the chicken? There is no clear answer to this question. Even its answers are not to be concerned with; it is rather a concern for scientists and not for the majority of individuals. The real concern should rather be our Constitution.

The question is, which came first, corruption or the population? Is it possible to figure out what's driving this phenomenon? The problems with corruption can be derived from any one of them since if it's corruption, then without the population, it can't function. In the human ecosystem, if population comes first, then corruption is bound to have roots in our daily lives.

Despite a relatively small population, corruption was a clear reflection of our history.

Now, the question is on the judicial system of India, can you believe the system? Because justice is so delayed nowadays that even after the proceedings of the case of so many years what victim gets? They only pay fees to the advocates and spend their precious time coming to the Courts; believing that someday their case will be put in some Court and Justice will be delivered to them.

Once corruption enters the system, then it only increases. Moreover, India has many social issues like poverty, unemployment, caste system, illiteracy, pollution, underdevelopment, etc, are in front of the government of India, but considering all these issues faced by India, one should notice that corruption plays an important role in making these issues even bigger.

There's no doubt that in this 21st century also India has the highest poverty ratio, why? Because the officers of government are so corrupted that the remedies provided for the betterment of the poor are not properly implemented and just because corruption comes into play the grant advanced to the poor does not reach them and they remain the same and so does the problem of poverty.

The administration isn't the only area of corruption. Especially in legislation and the judiciary, it is a problem so intense that it is probably the biggest challenge and needs to be resolved. In the same spirit, the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 has been passed. Insiders were believed to have been responsible for the attack of 26/11 in India.

Accountability is the foundation of democratic government, and the basic premise of making government accountable is that the public must have access to information about how it operates. The only way for people to fulfill the role of participatory democracy that democracy assigns them is to have a clear understanding of how government works.

Consequently, government transparency and the right to information are every bit as important as air and water for the survival of human beings.

In this regard, it can be said that corruption has now become deeply ingrained in the nerves of India such that it cannot be fully eradicated, but can be reduced. Laws are commands from a sovereign, but people break them anyway, they're punished? In order to reduce this number, some law is needed, a law that is unique in its nature, and one that is unable to be raptured by anyone because of its inherent authority.
As someone has rightly quoted:
"Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied
Justice Hurried Is Justice Buried"
